Rutgers University Libraries seek an innovative and energetic individual to serve as Music/Performing Arts Librarian and liaison to the departments of Music, Theater, and Dance of the Mason Gross School of the Arts on the New Brunswick/Piscataway campus. Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS or its equivalent. Minimum of three years library experience, including collection development and public services related to music, theater, or dance; an advanced degree in music; proficiency in English and at least one additional western European language; demonstrated knowledge of the application of multimedia technology; and proven familiarity with metadata standards are strongly preferred. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collegially in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity is required. Candidates who have had successful experience in the design and delivery of services for diverse populations will be given preference. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.
