Contract Photo Archivist – Brooklyn, NY
Family in Brooklyn seeks experienced photo archivist to scan, touch up, catalogue, and archive fairly large collection of family photos (dating back through 4 generations/circa 1890s and later). A subgroup of the photos have already been archived, but stored in JPEG. Would prefer state-of-the-art digital archiving oriented toward the very long term. Would also love someone who would ultimately be able to prepare professional-grade albums and other graphics.
Relevant experience working with digital photographs required. Interesting eye a plus. Rates negotiable and commensurate with experience.
If interested, please send a resume and brief statement of interest (a few sentences is fine) to katylederer(at)gmail.com. Applications accepted until position is filled.
Proposed date of completion for the project would be this October or November. Hours can be flexible. Potentially the perfect gig for someone looking for a well-compensated side-project.
