Northwestern University Library seeks an engaged, creative and service-oriented professional to interact with faculty and students to coordinate user services and outreach in the fields of art, art history, architecture, photography, and design. The Art Librarian is responsible for providing reference and research consultation, developing instructional programs and materials, and planning and fostering outreach to the departments of Art Theory and Practice and Art History. In consultation with and under the general direction of the Art Collection Head, the Art Librarian participates in collection development, preservation, and collection maintenance activities; selects books, journals, and electronic resources in assigned collection development areas; and develops exhibits and online resources promoting Art Collection resources.
